How to link a debit card for Instant transfers

To transfer available funds instantly from your Ferry account to an external bank, you'll need to link a personal debit card (credit cards are not supported).

Check Your Card Details

Before adding a destination card, make sure that:

  1. You are adding a card that you own. You can only transfer funds instantly to a card if the card owner’s name matches the name on your Ferry account. If the card is in another person’s name, you will not be able to use it to make an instant transfer.
  2. Your billing addresses match. For security purposes, a destination card might be rejected if the billing address on the destination card does not match the billing address on your Ferry account. Make sure you have the correct billing address on file with both Ferry and the issuing bank for your destination card. Please note that if you update your address with Ferry or your bank, it might take up to 3 business days for the change to process.
  3. The destination card is open and active. Your bank might block an instant transfer if the destination card is currently suspended, frozen, or closed.
  4. The information you are entering is correct. Make sure the card details are correct when you link a new destination card. Any incorrect information will cause the card to be declined.

Linking a Debit Card

  1. Log into your Ferry account via the Ferry Pay app or app.useferry.com.
  2. Navigate to the Move Money section.
  3. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
  4. Under Transfer Speed, select Instant.
  5. Click Select Destination to review any linked debit cards.
  6. To link a new debit card, click the Add button in the pop-up transfer destination window.
  7. Follow the prompts to securely enter your debit card details.

If this is your first instant transfer, you’ll need to complete Astra’s identity verification process for security purposes.

Note: You can link up to five debit cards for instant transfers within a 30-day period. This limit includes any removed or rejected cards. If you reach this limit, you'll need to wait until the 30-day window resets before adding a new card.
