Troubleshooting failed instant transfers

If your instant transfer attempt fails and you receive an error message from Astra, Ferry’s instant transfer partner, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Your Linked Debit Card Details

  • Ensure the card is a debit card—credit cards are not supported.
  • Confirm the name on the debit card matches your name in your Ferry account—you cannot use another person’s card for instant transfers.
  • Make sure the card is open and active—it should not be expired, frozen, or closed.

2. Verify Your Account Information

  • The address and phone number in your Ferry account should match those associated with the external bank account linked to your debit card.

3. Contact Ferry Support if the Issue Persists

If you've checked everything and still can't complete the transfer:

  • Take a screenshot of the page with the error message.
  • Contact Ferry Support and provide the screenshot so we can investigate further
