On your first day of work, you will need to select your preferred method of payment. One of these options is the Ferry Payroll Card. To open a Ferry Payroll Account, follow these steps:
If you are a tipped employee:
- You will receive your non-cash tips via Ferry unless you otherwise specify with the Payroll department
- Your manager will provide you with a Ferry welcome packet, which includes:
- An instant issue Ferry Payroll Card.
- Instructions for setting up your account through the Ferry Pay app or website.
If you are a non-tipped (hourly) employee:
- Choose Ferry as your preferred payment method in your company’s payroll system and/or consent to receive your daily tips via Ferry.
- Your manager will provide you with a Ferry welcome packet, which includes:
- An instant issue Ferry Payroll Card.
- Instructions for setting up your account through the Ferry Pay app or website.
During the onboarding process, Ferry provides the option to update your wage payment election with your employer. If you consent, Ferry will handle this update to ensure your wages and tips are deposited directly into your Ferry account.
- If you prefer not to have Ferry make this update, you will need to update your wage payment election with your employer directly. Otherwise, your wages and tips will not be available through your Ferry account.
You can change your wage payment election later if needed in your employer’s HR software or by contacting your employer’s payroll department.
Once you have obtained your instant issue Ferry debit card, you can proceed to register your new Ferry account.
