You can use your personalized Ferry card for contactless payments, wherever they are available. Contactless payments allow you to make purchases quickly and securely by tapping your Ferry card or a mobile wallet (like Apple Pay or Google Pay) on a compatible payment terminal—no swiping, inserting, or PIN entry required for most transactions.
How to Use Contactless Payments
- Look for the contactless symbol (four curved lines) on the payment terminal.
- Hold your Ferry card or mobile device (with a linked Ferry card) near the reader.
- Wait for confirmation, such as a beep, checkmark, or green light.
Where Can I Use Contactless Payments?
You can use your Ferry card for contactless payments at most retailers, restaurants, transit systems, and vending machines that display the contactless symbol.
Is It Secure?
Yes! Contactless transactions use encryption and unique transaction codes, making them just as secure as chip payments—but faster.
If a contactless payment does not work, you can try inserting your card or using a different payment method.
Note: Contactless payments are only supported with personalized Ferry cards. Instant issue cards obtained through your manager without your name cannot be used for contactless payments.
