Some merchants place an authorization hold on your card for a different amount than your final purchase. This is common at restaurants, gas stations, car rental services, and hotels. This is done to ensure that customers have enough funds to cover things like tips and incidentals.
Unfortunately, Ferry is unable to control these holds as they are set at the merchant level. In most cases, the amount should be updated to the final purchase amount on your receipt within a few days. If you see your pending transaction remaining for more than a week, we recommend you reach out to the merchant directly to resolve the issue.
